If your sporting your natural curls and kinky texture chances are, you’re experiencing dry, brittle strands. The tighter the curl pattern the harder it is to absorb moisture.
One of the best ways to restore moisture back into your locks is to receive steam treatments (along with a deep conditioner) with your stylist once a week. The steam will hydrate and open up the cuticles to penetrate more of the conditioner adding nutrients to revitalize and soften the hair strands.
If a salon visit doesn’t fit into your schedule or budget, try using your local gym’s steam room. When doing so (at the gym) apply conditioner onto your hair strands and sit in the steam room for a least 20minutes. Rinse with cool water to close the cuticles.
