I remember about four years ago when I went to Los Cabos around the month of April the weather was extremely hot. So hot that the temperature was beyond and above 90 degrees that I had to wrap my hair up in a high bun just to keep cool. It was quick and cute and I never thought twice about it. When I got back to LA I wore the same look for quite sometime, even to Will and Jada Smith’s personal chef’s Tabitha and husband to be wedding in Malibu with my girl Sandy.
With this style I was just being me. Having fun and receiving tons of compliments on the look.
Jumping ahead four years later to the present the trend for high buns seems to be everywhere! Girls in the streets, celebrities, red carpet events and even fashion runway shows are sporting the latest high up-do bun for this year.
The hair is neatly slicked back, tight on the sides. Then pushed up in the back with perfectly rolled hair into the shape of a ball that sits on top of your head. Displaying the look of a posh ballerina ready for her performance in front of millions that looks oh so adorable (I still believe the trend transpired from the movie “Black Swan”).
Some I’ve observed were messy, carefree and on point. Today I have chosen my top stars who I thought rocked the ballerina look with such poise. Starting with number one. And ending with our very own best.
