Thinkin’ about catchin’ a ride on the latest  juice craze? Cleanse? Bandwagon? Before you tag along there are some things you should know. Good things! Wanna lighten your processed food load? Cleanse. Wanna rid your body of toxins? Cleanse. Tired of hearing about pressed juices and cleanses? Yes! I know I am. But here’s the kicker. It actually works. I’m living proof. But don’t  judge me by my waistline. At least not yet.

A great boost to your immune system while ridding it of toxins

I too have fallen out of step with my healthier eating habits as of late. Instead of reaching for all things green, I’m more likely to snag a snack that isn’t so lean. Whether it’s at work or at home food temptation abounds. But seriously though why do all those chemicals taste so good? Not sure. Will definitely ask the man behind the curtain next time I step foot into Foodie Oz. Clearly there’s a conspiracy to keep us all fat and listless. Maybe. On to greener and educated pastures my friends!

Instead of daily grazing on chemically laden foods try replacing one meal a day with a fresh juice. Trust me. You will feel better. Even if you don’t own a juicer, local farmer’s markets and Whole Foods offer fresh pressed juice by the cup or gallon. I dig the Farmer’s Market on 3rd and Fairfax in Los Angeles.
