THE COLOR PURPLE

Meet Annie Ilonzeh
Makeup Artistic Director Dick Page for Shiseido cosmetic line give us the inside tricks on how to use and apply bright bold colors such as “The Color Purple” in the October 2011 issue of Instyle Magazine. Take a look at how he worked his magic with Annie Ilonzeh star of ABC’s new series Charlie’s Angels.
No need to shy away from violet. “Purple looks good on all skin tones, ” Page says. To bring contrast to this monochromatic eye, he layered two complementary shades: a creamy lavender on lids and a shimmery fuchsia-pink powder under the brow bones. For definition, he added black liner inside the lower rims and swiped lashes with two coats of mascara. Using a small stiff brush, Page stroked a vivid lilac hue onto lips—” the color plays off the shadows, ” he says. “This look proves it’s possible to do a strong eye with a strong lip.” As quoted in Instyle Magazine
MEET THE ANGEL: ANNIE ILONZEH
Never say Ilonzeh is afraid of taking beauty risks. “Years ago my friend convinced me to dye my hair blond with platinum highlights, “she says. “It was an absolute disaster!” Now that her hair is back to its natural shade, she’s turning heads as Kate Prince, a former hard-nosed cop, on Charlie’s Angels. “She’s the mother type out of the three angels, “Ilonzeh says. ” I can totally relate—I have four sisters, and I’m the oldest!” As quoted in Instyle Magazine
